A used BYD condition report includes the vehicle's mileage in kilometers, battery State of Health (SoH) from a diagnostic BMS scan, an accident-history note, cosmetic condition notes, available service records, and the number of prior owners — all recorded against the vehicle's masked VIN and provided to you before you commit to a purchase. Photos of the specific unit are available on request.
The purpose of the condition report is to let you evaluate a used vehicle from a distance with the same confidence you'd have inspecting it in person. Because export buyers are typically ordering sight-unseen, every field in the report is meant to answer a question a careful buyer would otherwise ask on a physical walkaround.
What each section covers
- Mileage (km): the odometer reading at time of inspection, cross-checked against available service records where possible
- Battery State of Health: a percentage figure from a diagnostic BMS scan, reflecting the pack's current usable capacity versus original rated capacity
- Accident history note: whether the vehicle's records or inspection findings indicate prior collision repair, and the nature of it if known
- Cosmetic condition notes: visible wear, paint condition, interior condition, and any notable exterior or interior imperfections found during inspection
- Service records: maintenance history available from the vehicle's documentation, where records exist
- Owner count: the number of prior registered owners, drawn from ownership documentation
Why we don't publish full photo sets on every listing by default
Photo volume and angles vary by unit and by how recently a vehicle was inspected. Rather than publish a generic or outdated image set, we provide current photos of the specific vehicle you're evaluating on request — this ensures what you see matches the unit you'd actually be buying, not a stock or placeholder image standing in for the model.
How to use the condition report when comparing units
Read the report as a whole rather than fixating on a single figure. A vehicle with slightly higher mileage but strong battery SoH, a clean accident history, and a single prior owner is often a better buy than a lower-mileage unit with a weaker SoH reading or an unclear accident note. If anything in the report is unclear — a cosmetic note you want more detail on, or a service record gap — ask before ordering. It's far easier to clarify a condition question pre-purchase than to dispute it after the vehicle has shipped.
The condition report is generated as part of our pre-export inspection process and reflects the vehicle's status close to the time of listing. If significant time passes between when you first review a unit and when you're ready to order, ask us to confirm the report is still current, particularly the mileage and battery SoH fields.
For any used vehicle, remember that remaining coverage under BYD's original vehicle and Blade Battery warranty terms is prorated from the vehicle's first registration date — confirm what's left on the specific unit before ordering.
