Duty & VAT
Under the ASEAN-China FTA, China-origin electric vehicles generally qualify for 0% import duty into Thailand, with excise tax also reduced for BEVs under the BOI EV incentive scheme; 7% VAT applies on customs value plus duty. Rates shown are indicative only based on publicly available general schedules — always confirm current duty, VAT and any EV incentives with a licensed customs broker in-country before ordering.
Used-Vehicle Import Rules
Thailand effectively prohibits commercial import of used passenger vehicles for resale under longstanding trade policy; used-export orders to Thailand are not recommended.
EV Incentives
Thailand's BOI EV3/EV3.5 incentive scheme provides reduced excise tax and import-duty benefits for qualifying battery-electric vehicles, alongside the 0% ACFTA tariff on China-origin units.
