Pakistan offers a reduced customs duty band (around 10%) for fully electric vehicles under its national EV policy, versus much higher effective rates on combustion and used vehicles; 18% general sales tax (VAT-equivalent) applies on customs value plus duty. Used-Vehicle Import Rules
Pakistan restricts used-vehicle import (under the personal baggage / transfer-of-residence / gift schemes) to vehicles generally up to 3 years old — commercial used imports outside these schemes face additional restriction.
EV Incentives
Pakistan's National Electric Vehicle Policy provides reduced customs duty and sales tax rates for imported CBU electric vehicles through incentive-period cutoffs — confirm current scheme status.
