Passenger vehicles imported into Mexico outside of USMCA-qualifying origin generally face a general import tariff around 20%, plus 16% IVA (VAT) on the customs value plus duty. Mexico restricts most used-vehicle imports to specific border/NAFTA-legacy programs; general commercial used-vehicle import is heavily limited — confirm eligibility before ordering a used unit.
