Duty & VAT
Egypt has reduced customs duty on fully electric vehicles to around 15% (versus much higher rates historically applied to combustion vehicles), plus 14% VAT on customs value plus duty. Rates shown are indicative only based on publicly available general schedules — always confirm current duty, VAT and any EV incentives with a licensed customs broker in-country before ordering.

Egypt heavily restricts commercial used-passenger-vehicle imports outside of returning-citizen exemptions — confirm eligibility before ordering a used unit.
